An elegant early 20th-century French gilt bronze wall mirror featuring an ornate Rococo Revival frame surrounding a beveled oval mirror plate. The richly detailed openwork frame is decorated with sweeping acanthus leaves, scrolling foliage, and a prominent shell-form crest, reflecting the graceful ornamentation of the Louis XV style.
The gilt bronze displays a beautiful aged patina, with subtle variations in its golden finish that accentuate the sculptural details. Its petite proportions make it a charming decorative accent for an entryway, powder room, bedroom, or curated gallery wall.
The reverse retains a dark backing panel and hanging chain.
