The glazed front opens to reveal three fully adjustable internal shelves, creating four versatile display areas. The adjustable arrangement allows the interior to accommodate objects of varying heights, making it ideal for displaying porcelain, glassware, silver, collectibles or objets d'art. The extensive glazing provides excellent visibility of the contents while protecting displayed pieces from dust and handling. Raised upon elegantly shaped cabriole legs, the cabinet has a refined and beautifully balanced silhouette characteristic of traditional English furniture. The mahogany displays pronounced natural grain and attractive figuring throughout, complemented by deep, warm tones and an appealing aged character that highlights the quality of the timber. Solidly constructed and presented in good antique condition, with appropriate signs of age and use consistent with its early 20th-century origin. The cabinet retains its original key. Standing 166 cm high while measuring only 34 cm deep, this is a particularly versatile display cabinet, providing substantial exhibition space within a relatively shallow footprint. Ideally suited to a drawing room, dining room, study, hallway or sophisticated contemporary interior.
