A charming pair of vintage silver-plated artichoke salt and pepper shakers by Godinger, dating to the late 20th century. Each is modeled as a beautifully textured artichoke, with overlapping leaves, finely incised detailing, and a sculptural form that brings a touch of wit and elegance to the dining table.
Artichokes have long been a favorite decorative motif in European interiors, appearing in everything from garden ornaments and architectural finials to ceramics and tableware. Rendered in silver plate, these little vegetables become particularly appealing tabletop accessories, equally at home among French country linens, antique silver, and blue-and-white porcelain.
Perfect for a relaxed Sunday lunch, an intimate dinner party, or a thoughtfully arranged dining room vignette, the pair offers the sort of unexpected detail that makes a table feel personal and collected.
