A striking vintage murano hand-blown art glass centrepiece vase, dating to circa 1970 and made in italy. This substantial vase is an impressive example of traditional murano glassmaking, standing approximately 12 inches tall and weighing 4.3 kg.
its bold form features a softly undulating, organically shaped rim and a vibrant millefiori cane design throughout the body. The bright orange ground is densely infused with colourful glass canes in shades of red, yellow, green, blue, white and black, creating exceptional depth, colour and movement within the glass.
fine bubbles and subtle variations throughout are characteristic of handmade glass and add to its individual character.
the vase has a wonderfully substantial presence and works particularly well as a standalone decorative centrepiece. As with traditionally handmade murano glass, no two pieces are exactly alike, making each example individual.
the underside has a flat, highly polished base, consistent with quality murano production.

excellent vintage condition. There are no chips or cracks noted to the vase. There is a small area of slight roughness to one edge of the base, consistent with age and handling.
the glass remains bright and attractive, with the natural bubbles and slight variations associated with traditional hand-blown glass.
