Crafted from richly grained wood in a warm honey-amber tone, the surface centers on a lacy floral medallion inlaid in mother of pearl, surrounded by a plain field and a finely worked border of scrolling vines and tiny diamond accents. A narrow banded edge in alternating dark and light inlay frames the top with crisp, graphic precision. Each of the eight apron panels carries a small inlaid star-flower, while pointed, scalloped arches spring between the legs, with leafy sprigs of inlay trailing across their spandrels.
