An antique 19th-century wooden bench featuring an elaborately scalloped crest rail, slender turned spindles, shaped arms, and a long plank seat. The deep reddish-brown finish has developed a rich, timeworn patina that highlights the craftsmanship and graceful proportions of this distinctive piece of country furniture.
