Standing 46 cm high, the vase follows the classical sleeve form, with a tall cylindrical body creating a strong architectural silhouette. The generous porcelain surface provides an expansive canvas for the hand-painted decoration, with deep cobalt-blue tones contrasting beautifully against the lighter porcelain ground. The restrained vertical proportions give the piece considerable presence while retaining the refinement traditionally associated with Chinese blue and white porcelain. Subtle variations in the hand-painted decoration contribute to its individual character and reflect the artisanal nature of its production. Its substantial scale makes the vase particularly effective as a statement piece on a console, sideboard or pedestal, while the timeless blue and white palette allows it to complement both traditional and contemporary interiors. The vase is presented in good condition with general age-related wear. No significant damage or restoration is noted. A highly decorative example of Chinese porcelain, combining an elegant sleeve form, impressive scale and the enduring appeal of traditional cobalt-blue decoration.
