The bookcase features four open shelves to the front, providing generous and easily accessible storage and display space for books, ornaments, collectibles and decorative objects. Standing on a sturdy plinth base, the bookcase has a solid and well-balanced appearance while retaining simple, timeless lines that allow the natural beauty of the pine to remain the principal decorative feature. Throughout, the timber displays particularly attractive natural grain, warm colouring and established character, giving the piece an inviting appearance that works equally well within traditional, country and contemporary interiors. At 63 cm wide and only 19.5 cm deep, this is an exceptionally practical bookcase for areas where floor space is limited. Its shallow profile provides useful vertical storage without projecting significantly into the room, making it particularly suitable for a hallway, study, bedroom, living room or library. The four generously proportioned shelf levels accommodate a variety of books and decorative objects, while the graduated shelf heights provide additional flexibility for displaying items of different sizes. Presented in good vintage condition, with appropriate signs of age and use consistent with its 20th-century origin. A highly versatile and attractive open bookcase combining beautifully grained pine, four practical shelves, a sturdy plinth base and exceptionally useful shallow proportions within a simple and timeless design.
