The figure is rendered with particular attention to the delicate facial features and softly modelled contours, creating a graceful and contemplative presence. The restrained treatment gives the sculpture a timeless quality while retaining a distinctly modern decorative character. Finished in a luminous pearly white tone, the plaster surface subtly catches the light and emphasises the sculptural modelling. The monochromatic finish provides an attractive contrast against the sleek black base, which elevates the figure and gives the composition a refined gallery-style presentation. Well constructed and presented in very good vintage condition, with only appropriate signs of age and use. Its compact proportions make the sculpture particularly versatile for display upon a console, pedestal, side table, bookcase or mantel. A sophisticated decorative work combining classical figurative influences with contemporary simplicity, equally suited to traditional, modern and eclectic interiors.
