The … Read more A fine Victorian Bohemian cut glass vanity scent bottle, combining richly faceted glass with an elegant sterling silver mount. The compact Bohemian cut glass body is fitted with a sterling silver mount and an ingenious push-button sprung flip-top cover. The silver is decorated with finely executed engine turning and incorporates a vacant circular cartouche, preserving the clean appearance of the original design. The combination of brilliant cut glass and polished silver gives the bottle an attractive jewel-like quality, while the mechanical push-button opening adds both refinement and functionality. The silver mount bears the maker’s mark for Gilbertson of London. Presented in very good antique condition. The sterling silver is free from noted holes, bruises or damage, while the glass remains free from chips and interior blooming. The sprung cover remains in good working order and closes securely.
