The tall brass standard is richly embellished throughout, displaying carefully executed ornamental details that give the lamp considerable sculptural presence. The warm, aged character of the brass further enhances the decorative quality of the piece and reflects its considerable age. The lamp is raised upon a broad and substantial base measuring approximately 43 cm across, providing excellent stability while creating an imposing architectural foundation for the slender upright form. A classic white fabric shade completes the composition, providing an understated contrast against the warm brass and allowing the decorative metalwork to remain the principal visual feature.

at 157 cm high, the lamp has an impressive yet well-balanced presence and is particularly suited to providing ambient lighting beside an armchair, sofa or within a larger drawing room, library or entrance hall. Importantly, the lamp has been professionally rewired and pat tested and is fully operational, allowing it to be incorporated immediately into a contemporary interior while retaining its antique character. Presented in very good antique condition, with appropriate signs of age and historic use consistent with its 19th-century origin. A highly decorative statement light combining practical illumination with the craftsmanship and visual richness of antique brasswork. Its substantial scale makes it particularly effective within traditional, classical and sophisticated eclectic interiors.
