The upper section is enclosed by glazed panels, creating an attractive showcase for decorative objects, ceramics, glassware or a collection of treasured pieces. A central shelf divides the interior into two generous display areas while allowing light to pass through and illuminate the contents. Below the glazed section are two useful drawers providing additional concealed storage. The cabinet retains its original handles and fittings, contributing to its authentic period character and complementing the warm tones of the oak. The cabinet is raised on elegantly shaped cabriole legs, lending the piece a graceful and refined silhouette. The oak itself displays a particularly attractive warm colour with pronounced natural grain and appealing tonal variation throughout. At just 85.5 cm wide, the cabinet offers excellent display and storage space without requiring the footprint of a larger vitrine. Its versatile proportions make it particularly suitable for a drawing room, dining room, library, hallway or collector's interior. A highly decorative and practical example of early 20th century English cabinetmaking, presented in good condition and ready for use.
