The exposed engine block forms the dramatic centrepiece of the design, with its eight cylinder bores cleverly repurposed to accommodate individual wine bottles. An additional bottle can be positioned within the starter-motor mounting area, providing capacity for up to nine bottles in total. The engine has been extensively prepared and chemically cleaned before receiving a high-quality chrome-effect powder-coated finish. This highly reflective surface emphasises the intricate cast architecture and mechanical detailing of the original v8 block, giving the piece a sophisticated showroom-quality appearance. Contrasting rose-gold detailing provides an especially luxurious finishing touch. The pistons, connecting rods and feet are highlighted in warm metallic tones, creating a dramatic contrast against the cool chrome-effect engine block. Above, three exposed pistons and connecting rods rise from the engine to support a circular clear glass tabletop. This inventive arrangement deliberately celebrates the internal components of the engine, transforming elements normally concealed within the machinery into prominent sculptural features. The glass top provides a practical surface for serving drinks or displaying decorative objects, allowing the piece to function simultaneously as a wine rack, occasional table and automotive sculpture. Protective feet provide a stable foundation while helping to protect the surrounding floor surface. With capacity for up to nine bottles, this is an exceptionally unconventional fusion of mechanical engineering, wine storage and contemporary furniture design. A dramatic statement piece for a luxury home, dining room, kitchen, home bar, private garage, showroom or automotive collection, and particularly appealing to collectors with an appreciation for engineering and industrial design. please see our other items listed for sale.
