Each crystal bottle is fitted with a sterling silver cover featuring a practical threaded screw fitting. The finely cut glass catches and reflects the light beautifully, creating an elegant appearance typical of luxury dressing table accessories of the period. The bottles are held within a coordinating sterling silver stand, raised upon a stepped circular wooden base that provides an attractive contrast between the polished silver, crystal and natural wood. The silver components are hallmarked for chester 1923. The hallmarks show some age-related rubbing but remain legible. Presented in very good antique condition. The silver is free from noted holes, damage or repairs, while the glass remains clear and free from interior blooming. There are a couple of very small chips to the glass consistent with age and use. An elegant example of early 20th-century english vanity ware, suitable for use or decorative display. ( john & william f deakin ) ( the marks are slightly rubbed but still legible . ) dimensions each ; bottles ; height 78 mm width 45 mm diameter of the cover 19 mm overall height including the stand 82 mm gross weight ; 245.6 grams in very good condition. No damage , hole's or repairs to the silver. No blooming to the glass. Couple of very small chips to the glass. ( refer to last image ) they retain their original facet cut stoppers. See less
