The composition is centred upon a richly ornamented medallion formed from concentric bands of gilt metalwork, rectangular emerald-green elements and numerous reflective white stones. Delicate red and green accents punctuate the outer border, while a smaller pendant-like motif occupies the centre. The arrangement recalls the opulent appearance of traditional Indian Kundan jewellery, celebrated for its intricate settings, vivid colours and highly decorative character. The ornament is displayed against a pale ground within a narrow gilt border and deep red textile surround, giving the piece the appearance of a precious jewel presented as a work of art. It is further mounted within a broad cream textile mat and an impressive gilt frame decorated with repeating foliate and palmette-style motifs. The combination of gold tones, jewel colours and elaborate framing gives the work considerable decorative presence, making it particularly suited to an eclectic, maximalist or globally inspired interior. A distinctive example of Indian-inspired decorative art, combining the visual language of traditional jewellery with the presentation of a framed objet d'art.
