The cabinet features glazed panels to both the front and sides, allowing excellent visibility of the contents from multiple angles and creating a light, elegant appearance. Internally, two glass shelves provide three generous display levels, making the cabinet particularly suitable for presenting ceramics, glassware, collectibles and treasured decorative objects. The cabinet stands on graceful cabriole legs terminating in beautifully carved claw-and-ball feet, introducing a traditional decorative element and giving the piece a particularly distinctive silhouette. Subtle carved decoration to the upper section provides further visual interest without overwhelming the overall design, while the original key is retained, adding to the character and completeness of the cabinet. Throughout, the oak displays particularly attractive natural grain, rich warm colouring and established character. The extensive glazing contrasts beautifully with the substantial oak framework, creating a cabinet that is both practical for display and decorative in its own right. with a relatively shallow depth of only 34 cm, the cabinet provides useful display capacity while remaining practical for rooms where floor space is at a premium. Presented in good antique condition, with appropriate signs of age and historic use consistent with its early 20th-century origin. A highly desirable display cabinet combining richly grained oak, extensive glazing, two internal glass shelves, carved detailing, elegant cabriole legs with claw-and-ball feet and its original key.
