A classic vintage 1950s teak plantation lounge chair with a taught herringbone hand-caned seat and backrest. As with this style of plantation chair, additional leg support rotates out from the arm supports, see photos. The legs are beautifully carved and sturdy and the front stretcher has a decorative accent. The medallions on the top of the arms are Indonesian coins. The caning is very taught. It is likely that this was just used as an accent chair and rarely used.
