Each octagonal tabletop features an elaborate symmetrical design centred by a circular floral medallion and surrounded by stylised trees, scrolling foliage and finely worked geometric borders. The intricate decoration contrasts beautifully with the warm natural tones of the rosewood and reflects the distinctive decorative woodworking tradition associated with Hoshiarpur in Punjab, India. The octagonal folding bases are equally well detailed, with delicate inlaid motifs throughout and elegant arched openings between the supports. The closely matched decoration and proportions make the two tables particularly attractive when displayed together as a pair. Elegant and highly decorative, these tables are ideal for use as matching side tables, occasional tables or bedside tables and would complement both traditional and eclectic interiors.
