The cabinet has an attractive architectural form, with a generously glazed front allowing excellent visibility of the interior. Behind the glazed door are two glass shelves, creating three spacious display levels ideal for presenting fine glassware, ceramics, objets d'art, collectibles or other treasured pieces. The three display levels offer generous clearance, with shelf heights of approximately 31 cm, 31 cm and 32.5 cm respectively, making the cabinet suitable for displaying objects of varying sizes. A decorative raised gallery crowns the cabinet, adding further height and visual interest to the silhouette. Without the gallery, the main cabinet stands approximately 122 cm high, rising to an overall height of 130 cm. Particularly appealing are the elegant cabriole legs terminating in distinctive claw-and-ball feet, lending the piece a graceful yet substantial appearance and providing a strong decorative feature characteristic of traditional English furniture. Throughout, the mahogany displays a beautiful natural grain with a deep, rich colour and established patina, complementing the refined proportions and decorative detailing of the cabinet. At 118 cm wide yet only 31 cm deep, the cabinet provides considerable display capacity without projecting excessively into a room. Its relatively shallow proportions make it particularly versatile for a drawing room, dining room, hallway, study or formal reception space. Presented in good antique condition, with appropriate signs of age and historic use consistent with its early 20th-century origin. A highly desirable example of Edwardian display furniture, combining rich mahogany, extensive glazing, elegant glass shelving, cabriole legs and distinctive claw-and-ball feet in a refined and practical form.
