The rectangular top provides a practical display surface while showcasing the rich natural character and attractive figuring of the mahogany. Particularly striking is the extensively carved apron, featuring intricate decorative detailing characteristic of the highly accomplished craftsmanship associated with Anglo-Indian furniture. The carving continues across the supporting elements, giving the table a richly sculptural and exotic character. The table is raised upon highly decorative turned and carved legs, creating an elegant architectural silhouette while demonstrating considerable attention to detail.
