The wide, sweeping backrest is reminiscent of a peacock's fanned tail, lending the chair its distinctive, almost majestic appearance.

The artfully curved rattan elements, the sweeping armrests, and the meticulously executed weaving combine traditional craftsmanship with the organic design language of Mid-Century Modern. The warm, honey-brown hue underscores the natural appeal of the material and makes the Peacock Throne a truly exceptional focal point.

The Peacock Throne is in very good vintage condition with only minimal signs of age-related wear. The rattan has developed a beautiful, even patina that emphasizes the chair's authentic character.

Rohé Noordwolde is one of the renowned Dutch manufacturers of high-quality rattan furniture from the 20th century. The company was based in Noordwolde, Friesland, a region with a long tradition of working with rattan and wickerwork.

Particularly in the mid-20th century, furniture was created there that combined traditional weaving techniques with modern, expressive designs. The Peacock Throne impressively embodies this fusion. I have official proof of authenticity such as vintage catalogs,
