A wonderful 1980s hand woven Binga basket from Zimbabwe. Woven with native grasses and a bark dyed palm rim rolled in a herringbone pattern. I'm an award winning basket maker so I know the value of the long hours spent to create a finished piece. A traditional winnowing basket of this size will take approximately 3 days to weave, plus countless hours to collect and prepare the materials. Whether hung on the wall, placed on a stand as I did, or a table, this gorgeous tribal ethnic art craft will elevate your space. I love the simplicity of the tag cut from a powdered cream box with the artist's, Idah Munkuli, signature and description. Non-Smoking home.
I'm a decorator and collector who's downsizing a storage and home full of eclectic treasures. please follow my shop so you don't miss out as I slowly go through things. Thanks
