Warm caramel leather follows a long, shallow domed lid, edged in brass nailheads and raised on four brass ball feet. The lid opens on the long side.
The hide is plain caramel. Nailheads run in a single row along the top edge of the base and again around the foot, evenly spaced the whole way, and it measures twenty-four inches wide, five inches deep and six inches high at a weight of eight pounds.
