A brass drop handle hangs at the centre front of every lid, its backplate cast as a small rosette, and the same fitting repeats down the stack from largest to smallest.

The largest measures twenty-four by sixteen inches and eight high, and the smallest eighteen by ten and four, the three closing down into a single footprint when stacked. The hardware is brass. Lilac runs across all three, a pale violet that shows the pebbling of the shagreen as a slightly darker grain over the surface. See less
