A thick, faintly rippled glass slab rests on a forged iron base in an aged brass finish. Light enters the slab and stays there, so the table glows a little at lamp hour.
Seventeen inches across and 22 inches high, it is drawn to drink-table scale - at a chair arm, beside a bath, at the foot of a chaise. The cast top carries a heft and optical depth that sheet glass never manages.
Forged metal and cast glass are both born in heat, one hammered and one poured, and they suit each other. A small table can carry that much material honesty with ease.
