An antique-gold Greek-key band circles the upper frieze, while the ebonized pine is rubbed thin at the edges to reveal a warmer ground. The lower tier is a plain oval shelf. It repeats the outline of the top at knee height.
Four slender cabriole legs curve out from the frieze. It measures 29 by 21 inches and stands 31 inches high. Black covers both tiers, and gold appears only in the key band and along the worn edges.
