A generously proportioned antique wooden treen bowl, likely British and dating to the 19th century. Turned from a single piece of wood, it features a broad, shallow interior, a gently incurving rim, and a pronounced ridge encircling the exterior.
Fine concentric turning marks remain visible throughout, while the roughly worked underside preserves the bowl’s utilitarian character. The deep brown exterior contrasts beautifully with the warmer honey-brown tones of the interior, highlighting the grain and variations in the surface.
An understated centerpiece with sculptural presence, equally appealing displayed on a dining table, kitchen island, or open shelf.
Dimensions: Approximately 14″ diameter × 3.5″ high.
Material: Wood; species undetermined.
Period: Attributed to the 19th century.
Origin: Likely British; unmarked.
