Its focal point is an amazing sugarloaf 2.5 carat sapphire. The sapphire glows a beautiful royal blue, and the sugarloaf cut has a high profile that gives the stone a great depth. On the surrounding curb links on either side the sapphire, there are four Old Mine Cut diamonds that are prong set into the middle of the links. Each Old Mine Cut is held in place by eight tiny prongs. Sixty Rose Cut diamonds are embedded
into the links, and the diamonds stand out against the patina that has darkened the surface of the gold. The sparkle of the diamonds contrasts nicely with the mesmerizing blue sapphire.

We sent the entire piece to G.I.A., and it came back with report number 2241078417 for Sapphire Origin Report. The sapphire was identified as a natural royal blue sapphire with no heat treatment from Cambodia, almost as prized as a Kashmir Sapphire. We suspected as much because of the age of the piece, but we were glad to have this documented. The sapphire measures 7.1 x 6.6 x 5.5 mm and is 2.5 carats. The bracelet contains four Old Mine Cut diamonds that measure approximately 3.3 mm each, and sixty Rose Cut diamonds that measure 1 mm each, for a TCW of approximately 1 carat of diamonds.

The bracelet is 6.75” long and 1/4” wide. It weighs 22.6 grams. Its clasp is a replacement clasp, but is accurate to the type of clasp that would have been original to the piece. It securely snaps shut and has a safety latch. There are two extra links available to make this piece longer if needed. The bracelet is marked on the clasp as 14k. See less
