The principal face features a central study depicting two exotic parrots perched close together on a slender bough, encircled by expansive foliate sprays rendered in burnished gold. The birds are executed in raised polychrome enamels, layering vivid tones of blue, scarlet, yellow, and green to define the plumage. Surrounding branches extend into trailing vines dotted with delicate pink and periwinkle blossoms, which create sharp contrast against the dark porcelain ground. Broad gold leaves spread outwards across the shoulders, while the reverse and flanks feature lighter gilt floral sprays. Produced in Germany by the Fraureuth porcelain manufactory during the 1920s, this vase was created within the firm's specialised art department (Kunstabteilung). The glazed white underside displays the printed red crowned monogram mark above an oval stamp reading 'Fraureuth Kunstabteilung handgemalt', confirming the decorative painting was completed by hand in the studio.

Measuring 20 cm in height with an overall width of 20 cm across the handles, the vessel possesses a well-proportioned, substantial profile with a wide neck and glazed white interior. The twin handles are finished in heavy gold gilding, giving the piece balanced symmetry suited for cabinet display. See less
