The Elda Chair by Joe Colombo (1963) is a post-war design masterpiece:
The design is still today considered futuristic, with its moulded fiberglass shell and swivelling base, offering comfort and mobility.
This lounge chair, with its distinctive curved shape and generously padded cushions, remains a coveted collector’s item, epitomizing timeless style and functionality in the world of furniture design.
Origination: Italy, 1970s, manufactured by Comfort. Provenance: Swiss private collection.
Condition: Very good vintage condition. Minor signs of age on the leather and shell. The leather has been revived by a upholsterer specialized in important design. The shell has been polished. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity
