Slender canes cross in a lattice of open diamonds, and each intersection is secured with a neat wrap of dark burgundy binding. The wraps add a rhythmic dotted accent against the pale golden poles at the corners, rails, and joints. The arms are formed from softly bent, arched poles that curve down into the side lattice, and double-pole rails run along the seat edge for a crisp, tailored line. Below, three looped, racetrack-shaped stretchers span the front, adding a gentle curve to the otherwise rectilinear silhouette and lifting the frame lightly off the floor. The seat deck is made of closely spaced, darker slats in a woven grid that provides firm support for a loose cushion, which is not included. The finish is a warm, glowing amber with subtle tonal variation across the poles, natural nodes, and a mellow, hand-rubbed sheen where years of use have burnished the surface.
