The rim is cut into soft, petal-like lobes and edged with a band of beaded and foliate molding. Around the body, high-relief cherub faces with feathered wings are framed by scrolling acanthus and stippled ground, giving the surface a rich, sculptural depth. Two tall, openwork handles rise from the shoulders in sweeping S-curves and curled volutes, adding dramatic, ornamental flair. Below, a knopped stem, banded with leafy detail, leads to a wide, domed foot embossed with a repeating lappet and leaf motif. The finish is a warm, golden brass with darker, antiqued recesses that emphasize every ridge of the casting, while brighter highlights glow on the raised cherubs and handles.
