Originating around the late 19th to early 20th century, this heavy cast bronze entry fixture showcases timeless Louis XVI and Empire-era motifs. The main swing ring is modeled as a detailed and deeply sculpted laurel wreath bound with a cross-ribbon accent at the base. It hangs from a decorative backplate, cast with mounting screw holes and centered by a raised marguerite flower rosette. The top of the bracket features an elegant ribbon bow with trailing floral garlands cascading down each side. The knocker measures 7 1/4" high, 5 1/8" wide, 1" deep and weighs a substantial 2 lbs 1 oz. Its heavy casting and deep metallic depth give it a grand architectural presence.
