Elevate your dining space with this spectacular narrative-driven set of five, circa 1970s, Italian dining chairs crafted in the grand Chippendale taste. Blending historic 18th-century revival elements with distinct Venetian flair, this unmarked set features expertly carved walnut frames boasting a rich, hand-polished wax finish and excellent artisan joinery. The set includes one commanding master armchair (captain's chair) and four side chairs. Designers will appreciate the stunning structural details: elegant front cabriole legs, crisp square tapered rear legs ending in classic spade feet, and a captivating interlocking fiddle back splat framed by a Venetian ribbon-back design. The crest rail is crowned with a beautiful, deeply carved shell motif.
Bringing a touch of playful Hollywood Regency sophistication to the traditional frames, the generous bow-front seats are upholstered in a luxurious light green silk fabric adorned with a multi-directional burgundy-toned bee pattern. It is eminiscent of classic Gucci or French Empire style textiles.
