A beautiful example of Swedish mid-century design, the iconic Grandessa rocking chair was designed by Lena Larsson for Nesto in the 1960s.

Combining elegant Scandinavian aesthetics with traditional Swedish craftsmanship, this distinctive rocking chair features a tall spindle backrest, gracefully curved armrests, and beautifully sculpted rocking runners. Its light, airy silhouette and harmonious proportions make it a timeless design classic.

The chair features a solid wooden seat, eight slender backrest spindles, turned legs, and supporting stretchers. The warm natural wood tones contrast beautifully with the original black lacquered details, emphasizing its sculptural character and refined craftsmanship.

Whether placed in a living room, reading corner, or a thoughtfully curated interior, the Grandessa makes a striking statement while offering comfortable, relaxing seating.

PS: The chair has hooks for attaching cushions. These were most likely added later and are not part of the original design.
