Horizontal ridges wrap the body, giving the glaze a rich, earthy depth typical of the period. West German potteries of the 1960s and 1970s turned out ceramics with heavy, textured glazes that have become highly collectible. Age-appropriate wear and a soft patina speak to a long and honest working life. Set on a console, mantel or shelf, it brings history and material honesty to a considered interior. See less
