The curved cabriole legs and the delicate scale make it a graceful little table. The Louis XV style takes its name from the French king who reigned from 1715 to 1774, and its taste for curved lines and graceful ornament, known as Rococo, shaped French furniture for generations. Provincial workshops kept the cabriole leg and the shaped apron alive long after the court had moved on. Age-appropriate wear and a soft patina speak to a long and honest working life. A table like this brings a sense of history to a corner or a conversation area. See less
