The rounded corners and the burl-like veneer have the sleek, glowing quality of the period. Art Deco emerged in the 1920s and reached its height in the 1930s, a confident modern style of geometry, rich woods and fine craftsmanship that celebrated the age of the machine without abandoning luxury. Age-appropriate wear and a soft patina speak to a long and honest working life. A table like this brings a sense of history to a corner or a conversation area. See less
