This chair was made by Gerard van de Groenekan; the only carpenter Rietveld trusted to produce the chair for him. It belonged to a private collector in Munich, Germany and it was most likely produced between 1964 and 1972.

The chair is marked by van de Groenkan under the seat This piece has an attribution mark,
