Rare to find in collector's world, an early 19th century piece Staffordshire pearlware figure group attributed to the famous English potter Obadiah Sherratt. Depicted is the "Baptism of Mary", or as this model is widely referred to as the "Christening Group". Six figurines of people are present including the baby, table in the middle, pair of castles in the background and two trees with flowers in corners arching over the scene. Condition appears good, minimal age / use wear, just as we acquired it - please see photos. Size is large 9.25" wide at the widest point, 4.625" deep front to back, and 8" in height. This will be a great addition to any porcelain ceramic collection, and a great display in any traditional or vintage mid century modern setting! See less
