An authentic 19th-century Pennsylvania primitive mortised bench, sourced directly from a home in the Manheim area of Lancaster County, PA. Hand-crafted from thick 5/4 solid pine boards, this bench features traditional wedged through-mortise and tenon joinery—a hallmark technique of early regional cabinetmakers.

The piece retains an exceptional, untouched raw wood surface with no paint or finish ever applied, showcasing visible hand-planing marks along the underside and a beautifully aged natural patina. Built with historic square-headed nails alongside minor period working reinforcements, this piece possesses a wonderful minimalist silhouette.
