A pair of 19th-century Art Nouveau bronze decorative bases titled “Carmen” and “Mignon” in raised lettering. Each cast composition places a female bust above an ornamented pedestal, with a small suspended figure, floral details, and relief scenes. The bronze has contrasting brown and gilt-toned surfaces, and each piece stands on a dark green-veined stone plinth. The two figures form a coordinated pair while retaining distinct attributes: Carmen wears a small cap and carries a tambourine; Mignon is shown with a draped head covering. Formerly lamp bases (circular openings are visible at the tops of the plinths beneath the bronze supports).
