The piece presents a gently bowed façade veneered in richly figured rosewood with strong vertical grain and carefully bookmatched panels at the central doors. A high-gloss black-lacquer molding frames the top and base and visually anchors the composition while offering a striking contrast to the warm wood tones. The top is Porto marble with a deep black ground threaded by gold and white veining and is finished with a slightly beveled edge that complements the cabinet's streamlined profile. Hardware is streamlined and machine-age in spirit, with triangular escutcheon plates that rise from the door faces to support swept, nickeled-bronze handles and to reinforce the cabinet's elegant silhouette. The center has a glas display cabinet which opens to a compartmented interior arranged with shelving suitable for service and storage. Construction combines finely applied veneer work, curved-case joinery and lacquered trim that reflect high-quality French Art Deco cabinetry of the 1930s. The overall effect balances sculptural form and practical storage, rendered in luxurious materials and finishes. The piece is in Mint Restored Condition.

France, circa 1935
