The cabinet features a prominent circular central body flanked by projecting side shelves or “shoulders”, creating the distinctive streamlined silhouette associated with early Art Deco furniture. The richly figured walnut provides warmth and visual depth, contrasting elegantly with the glazed central display section. A pair of centrally hinged glazed doors provides access to the interior. The glass is particularly attractive, incorporating a stylised cloud design that complements the geometric character of the cabinet. Inside are two removable glass shelves, providing three practical levels for displaying glassware, ceramics, collectables or decorative objects. The interior backing has been sympathetically repapered with a decorative sailing boat scene, introducing an appealing period-inspired backdrop while complementing the cabinet's warm walnut tones. The cabinet retains its original locks and key, which remain in working order.
