Probably made in the 1960s–70s, it follows the arts and crafts tradition of carved oak furnishings. The frame carries the inscription “variety club of great britain”, with hearts and yorkshire roses around the edges. A tent-shaped panel reads “leeds 36”, referring to the club’s tent 36 designation. Overall dimensions are 53.5 cm wide by 44.5 cm high. Black corner pockets secure the paper within a frame backed with rebated plywood. The oak has wear and uneven darkening from use. Replacement paper covers the original sheet, which retains staining and marks. See less
