Crafted entirely in richly textured travertine, each table balances substantial construction with a clean, refined silhouette.

Each table features a square top with a beautifully executed ogee bullnose edge, introducing a soft, rounded profile that contrasts with the design's strong geometry. The tops rest on substantial pedestal bases composed of vertical travertine sections with rounded outer edges, creating visual continuity between the base and the sculpted perimeter of the top. Viewed from different angles, the natural veining and open pores reveal the individuality inherent to genuine travertine.

Italian designers of the 1970s and 1980s frequently elevated stone from a decorative surface to the primary structural element of furniture, emphasizing material, weight, and simplified forms. These tables embody that approach, while the more detailed ogee edge gives them a distinctive character beyond the more minimal travertine designs of the period.

Their appeal lies in the combination of natural stone, substantial craftsmanship, and beautifully finished details. As a pair, they offer an especially compelling example of the material-driven Italian modern design that has made vintage travertine furniture increasingly sought after.
