Antique double-sided desk with a double pedestal topped by a large walnut slab adorned with a geometric border and inlays.
we love the undeniable elegance of this piece, crafted from a very fine wood and featuring graphic details such as the inlays.
the pedestal has four drawers on each side, each with its original lock and keys.
the pedestal's two other sides are paneled, and there are attractive moldings around the drawers. A wide plinth completes the pedestal. Two inlaid legs create pleasing lines.
the pedestal has a small, old crack in the center, a minor flaw inherent to its age. Patina from use and possible imperfections in the wood are present in some areas; please refer to the numerous photos.
the desk can be disassembled into several parts—the pedestal, the pedestal, and the legs—all secured with screws and nuts.
