A gorgeous pair of wonderfully sculptural rattan and bamboo armchairs in lovely vintage condition. Likely made in france in the 1970s, this impressively attractive and extremely comfy pair exudes an elegantly relaxed, coastal-boho style. Generously oversized and very stylish, this pair of woven rattan armchairs makes a superb, strikingly relaxed statement. A joy to relax in, they would be ideal in a conservatory, studio or living room and will enhance any interior with their rich, golden colouring and effortlessly sophisticated, sculptural-organic aesthetic.
artisan-crafted by hand-weaving rattan around a bamboo frame, these extra-large beauties are very sturdy and have double-sided, intricately charming weaving to the sides and backs. They have extremely generously sized seats with plump cushions finished in gold and white upholstery, and feature wonderfully broad armrests, which gracefully sweep around the chair to frame the sitter.
all in all these are a remarkably eye-catching and super-comfortable pair of armchairs, which would look fabulous inside or out. this wonderful pair of armchairs is in good-to-very-good vintage condition. Solid and structurally sound, they have only to-be-expected signs of ageing in the form of hard-to-notice rattan wear, minor losses and discolouration, which only add to their vintage appeal. Overall they’re a gorgeous and wonderfully eye-catching pair in lovely vintage condition and if well looked after they should be just as stunning for decades to come – please see the photos.
