Pair of thrown stoneware lidded jars with cylindrical bodies and fitted lids topped with knobs. Finished with restrained, natural glazes in sand, brown, and subtle violet tones with horizontal glaze movement and a light rim. Signed to the base and produced at Höganäs in the 1970s. Origin: Scandinavia. Material: Stoneware. Dimensions: H. 9 cm, D. 8 cm. Period: 1970s. Condition: Excellent condition with minor, age-related wear. Höganäs Keramik has a long-standing tradition in Swedish stoneware, combining functional forms with nuanced and experimental glazes. In the 1970s, serial forms such as lidded jars were often used as a basis for variation in glaze and surface treatment, giving each piece an individual character and making them appealing to collectors of Nordic studio ceramics.
