Dating to the revered Dr. Wall era (circa 1770–1775), the two-piece set is beautifully transfer-printed in underglaze cobalt blue with the factory's highly coveted, iconic "Pine Cone" motif.
Masterfully engraved, the design weaves a lush botanical arrangement of ripe pine cones, pomegranates, and open peony blossoms across a delicately perforated draining bowl. Both pieces boast heavily lobed, everted "barbed" rims framed with a striking geometric diaper border. The underside of the bowl proudly bears the period-correct, underglaze blue hatched crescent mark.
Perfect for modern display as a sophisticated mantel anchor, built-in cabinet accent, or an elegant addition to a classic blue-and-white tablescape. Complete, large-scale sets that have preserved their 250-year-old partnership are immensely rare acquisitions for the traditional interior.

Condition
Good
• Strainer Bowl: Beautiful antique condition with highly crisp, deep cobalt printing. The glaze retains a brilliant shine, and all perforations are fully intact without structural cracks or restorations.
• Underplate: Displays wonderfully with matching tonal depth. Features two visible, honest shallow chips along the outer scalloped rim. These flaws are entirely consistent with the fragile nature of authentic Georgian soft-paste porcelain and do not impact the stable structural integrity or exquisite display quality of the set.

Dimensions
• Strainer Bowl: 8.875" W × 8.875" D × 2.25" H
